"We are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its influence—on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice . . . Its preparations are concealed . . . its mistakes are buried . . . no secret is revealed."
— President John F. Kennedy

Hidden History

The influence of Secret Societies on world history is more pervasive than most people realize. Secret networks of spies, financiers, and criminal operators have existed since ancient times and have influenced western civilization for centuries. Yet they are difficult to research because their activities are hidden, their records are not public, and they are protected by powerful people.

This collection of books was assembled in order to help people who would like to know more about the unseen forces behind world events research for themselves. The focus of this page is on historical subjects, especially wars, revolutions, and criminal syndicates in recent centuries. Other topics related to Secret Societies, such symbolism, occult knowledge, criminal cabals during ancient and medieval times, and world religions are worthy of study, but may be of more interest to advanced researchers so links to related pages are provided below.

Because this website focuses on history rather than current events, we do not generally include books by living authors or use information obtained from internet sources. Instead we rely on historical research published by authors who did original research or made important disclosures in the pre-internet age. Their accounts upend much of what we think of as established history and their books are still valuable resources for the study of secret societies. Surprisingly, the problems of secret societies, organized criminal networks, and hidden history were discussed more openly a hundred years ago than they are today. This is because modern scholarship is entirely corrupt, modern media is highly controlled, and serious discussion of malevolent international conspiracies is forbidden. Even on "free speech" plantforms, discussion of these topics is often hijacked by trolls and disinformation agents.

Investigating secret societies has always been difficult, but many independent researchers have stepped up to the challenge. Still, no single author has all the answers or a complete picture of events, misinformation abounds, and the scope of topics related to secret societies and occult knowledge is staggering. But every detail does not need to be resolved before one begins to see the hidden hand behind world events and the more you study, the more clear the picture becomes.

Think for yourself.
Research for yourself.
Trust yourself.

If you are new to researching these topics, we have written a short Secret Society FAQs. We have also listed some of the most helpful introductory texts, written specifically for the uninitiated in our Conspiracy Primers section. There is an enormous amount of information in the books included on this page, and a clear picture may take a while to form. But don't give up and do not dispair. The world is slowly waking up. You are not alone.

'Conspiracy' Primers

These books are introductory texts intended for those who are not familiar with conspiratorial interpretations of history. Most people believe what they are told and try to make sense of world events without resorting to an over-arching conspiracy. However, these authors present many disturbing proofs that a world-wide network of criminals does exist, and are able to put the problem into understandable terms, without overwhelming their readers.

Carr       Johnson       Butler

Authors who died unexpectedly are indicated in blue.

Gary Allen (1936-1986) — Allen's "None Dare Call it Conspiracy" was published and distributed independently during the early seventies and sold several million copies. Allen discusses the existence of an international criminal network responsible for much world-conflict, but his book focuses mostly on the nefarious activities of a network of "insiders" within the United States government, whose loyalties are clearly un-American. Allen died at age 50 of unknown causes.

Myron Fagan (1887-1972) — Myron Fagan was a successful theatrical and movie producer who worked to expose corruption and communist agents in Hollywood during the "Red Scare" of the 1950's. His essay is short, easy to understand, and intended to alert Americans of the threat posed by Secret Societies. This book is the transcript of a speech that covered operations of the 'illuminati' in the United States from the Civil War to the 1950s.

A. Ralph Epperson (1937-20??) — Epperson was an independent researcher whose books provide an excellent overview of the "Conspiratorial View of History." In the "Unseen Hand", Epperson cites dozens of investigators who have uncovered conspiracies related to almost every major conflict in modern history. He presents compelling evidence that the reasons given in most history books for wars, revolutions, and depressions are falsified, and that the real authors of economic turmoil and worldwide conflict are the financial networks and secret societies who have foreknowledge of events and benefit from war and upheaval.

Archibald Ramsay (1887-1972) — Captain Ramsay was a British MP who opposed Britain's involvement in European wars and believed the Soviet Union, backed by international banking cartels, was a greater threat to Britain than Nazi Germany. His book exposes "Jewish" influence on revolutionary activity in Europe and pro-war propaganda and manipulation. Ramsay faced tremendous backlash and criticism for his disclosures and was imprisoned without charges for the duration of WWII.

William Guy Carr (1895-1959) — Carr was a Canadian Naval Officer, and an expert in Submarine Warfare. Before publishing 'Pawns in the Game', he wrote numerous books on naval warfare. Like several other researchers who begin their studies working from a secular point of view, Carr came to realize that Biblical history was of enormous importance in understanding the diabolical alliances behind secret societies. Carr died at age 64 while writing 'Satan, Prince of this World'.

Manning Johnson (1908-1959) — Johnson was a courageous negro who rose to a high rank in the Communist party before realizing the true Communist agenda was to use the negro race to divide Americans, foment race wars, and destroy the social fabric of the country. Fully understanding the risk to himself, he wrote the book 'Color, Communism, and Common Sense' exposing the hypocritical and cynical Communist plan to exploit negroes, and began a speaking tour to alert black communities throughout America to the danger. Soon afterward Johnson died suddenly and his book was withdrawn from circulation.

Smedley Butler (1881-1940) — Butler was a Marine Corps officer and hero, the most decorated Marine in U.S. History. After 34 years fighting American Wars, from the Philippines to WWI, he became an outspoken critic of American foreign policy and engagement in foreign wars. By the end of his life he was an extreme critic of American military entanglements and advocated a non-interventionist foreign policy. His work is a "classic" among anti-war activists. Though in excellent health at age 59, he died unexpectedly, just as Roosevelt began ramping up U.S. involvement in WWII.

List by Historical Topic — The books listed above provide good introductions to the conspiratorial aspects of world governments, but each author emphasizes different topics. Our Wars and Revolutions page also provides a good introduction to the conspiratorial view of history, and uses many of the same sources, but it is organized by historical topic rather than by author.

Protocols

The following texts are alleged to be authentic transcripts produced by secret organizations. They explicitly describe techniques and deceptions used to gain control over people and governments. All have been called forgeries, or frauds, but the evidence for them being falsified is inconsistent. Whether authentic or falsified, however, they were unquestionably written by an "insider" with a deep knowledge of the workings of the cabal.

NOTE: The Protocols are called "anti-Semitic" because it is assumed that they refer to a Cabal of Jews. This is false. The "Elders of Zion" refer to a cabal of CANAANITES. That is, Baal worshippers who are directly related by blood and tradition to the Canaanites of the Bible. Many powerful Canaanites identify themselves as Jews, but most Jews have no knowledge of the inner workings of the Cabal, and many Canaanites assume non-Jewish identities. THE USE OF EQUIVOCAL LANGUAGE TO DISGUISE CANAANITE ACTIVITIES UNDER JEWISH COVER IS AN INTENTIONAL DECEPTION.

Mount Zion was originally the site of a Canaanite fortress that was destroyed by the Jews (about 1000 B.C.). It was later the site of Solomon's Temple, built by Israel's treacherous Phoenician-Canaanite neighbors. The "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" elucidate long-standing Canaanite precepts and methods, and the more one learns about Phoenician history and culture, the more obvious this is.

Reaction to the Protocols —The English translation of the 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion' caused an enormous uproar in Britain, including a lively debate in the London Morning Post. The authors of Cause of the World's Unrest (some of whom remained anonymous) presented compelling evidence that a world-wide conspiracy promoting sedition and violent uprisings did in fact exist and that the 'Jewish Peril' was an authentic threat. Lucien Wolf, a one-man ADL (anti-Defamation League) argued that the 'Protocols' were a forgery inspired by anti-Semitic malice.

The Dearborn Independent — In the United States, Henry Ford (1867-1947) paid to promote distribution of the Protocols. He also funded the Dearborn Independent, a newspaper that published a series of articles discussing the implications of "Jewish" influence in finance, politics, and business. The series was published in four volumes under the title The International Jew. Ford was not the author, but he promoted the series and advocated an open discussion of the "Jewish Problem" among Jews and gentiles of good will.

Though frequently condemned as "anti-Semitic", The International Jew, is a fascinating, and meticulously documented history of Jewish activities and influence in the United States. The author acknowledges that those he condemns as dangerous conspirators are a small minority of American Jews, and the only 'remedy' he proposes is public exposure of their underhanded methods and deceptions. His works provide detailed insights into the 'methods and operations' of a dangerous cabal with enormous power over the American government. And it is this exposure of their perfidious activities, suspicious foreknowledge of events, and manipulation of political institutions—rather than animus against Jews—that makes this an especially relevant series.

These volumes cover many facets of Jewish-American operations and are of such historical interest that we organized all eighty articles in the series by topic on This Page.

Freemasonry and other Secret Societies

"Freemasonry is an institution founded on eternal reason and truth; whose deep basis is the civilization of mankind, and whose everlasting glory it is to have the immovable support of those two mighty pillars, science and morality."
—George Washington

"Filled with the spirit of Satan, who knows how to transform himself into an angel of light, Freemasonry puts forward as its pretended aim the good of humanity. Paying a lip service to the authority of law, and even to the obligations of religion, it aims at the destruction of civil authority and of the Christian priesthood, both of which it regards as the foes of human liberty."
—Pope Leo XIII

Freemasonry is the "secret society" that is familiar to people, and its role in modern history is enormous. Freemasonry has been a major factor in every social conflict from the French Revolution to the Great War. However, it is far from the only Secret Society that has influenced world affairs, and it embodies many characteristics common to most other covert associations, such as deceptive outer appearances, "degrees" of secret knowledge, and occult rites and symbolism. Much can be learned about the nature of other secret societies by close study of the Freemasons.

NOTE: Like virtually all Secret Societies worldwide, Freemasonry has Phoenician-Canaanite roots. The central allegory of Freemasonry involves the murder of Hiram Abiff, the Phoenician architect responsible for building Solomon's Temple. Higher level Freemasons are expected to swear eternal vengeance against the enemies of Hiram and avenge his death. A great many symbols, rites and degrees of Freemasonry have Phoenician-Canaanites associations, and the "enemies of Hiram" are any who oppose Canaanite schemes for worldwide domination.

Freemasonry vs. Christianity — During the 19th century certain Christain leaders played an important role in opposing Freemasonry, and the following surveys were written by Catholic priests. They describe the political intrigue, deceit and method of operation of Freemasonry as well as its rites, symbols, history, and hostility to Christianity.

While virtually all sincere Catholics abhor secret societies, the true relationship between the Catholic hierarchy and Freemasonry is complicated, and not what as it appears. See The Vatican "Advanced Topic" page for more about the Catholic Hierarchy's relationship to Secret Societies.

John Robison (1739-1805) — Robison is one of the Godfathers of Conspiracy Theory literature. He was a respected scientist and high ranking British Freemason whose landmark book exposed the Bavarian Illuminati and documented the involvement of Freemasonry in the French Revolution. It is of tremendous historical importance because it was widely read at the turn of the 19th century, and temporarily restrained the most noxious elements of American Freemasonry. It is a compelling and insightful book, but its lack of chapter topics and organization make it somewhat difficult for introductory readers to follow.

NOTE: We are working on trying to make this important work more accessible by breaking up extremely long chapters and adding subtopic headings, but for now we refer interested readers to the project Gutenberg version.

Albert Pike (1809-1891) — Pike was a 19th century authority on Scottish Rite Freemasonry, responsible for adapting English Freemasonry to suit the occult purposes of the 'illuminati'. Pike was, of course, an entirely malevolent person, and his book does not disclose anything resembling the secret rites of the "inner circle" of masonry. Nevertheless, his book is an invaluable reference that contains a significantly "sanitized" description of the ostensible rites, symbolism, and philosophy of Freemasonry, Many of the symbols and rites described have important associations with Semitic and Canaanite history and culture, but their meanings are not accessible to the uninitiated, so a good grounding in Biblical era history is helpful.

The text includes a great many Hebrew letters and symbolism that cannot be easily reproduced on the Heritage History website so we reference the Gutenberg version for online reading.

Manly P. Hall (1901-1990) — Hall was one of the best known writers on occult and essoteric teachings for much of the 20th century and his books contain enormous amounts of information. Hall, however, was an occultist, a high ranking member of numerous secret societies, and a pathological liar, so all of his writings should be read with enormous discretion. Any writer who strives to present "ancient wisdom" and occult knowledge as if it were a humanitarian concern instead of a front for a criminally insane sect of Baal worshippers, is a certain fraudster. As is common with most such cabal-related fabulists, a great deal of authentic information and history is mixed up with utter balderdash, so we do not recommend such authors unless one is familiar enough with the history of secret societies to be able to discern probable truths from intentional misinformation. Hall is not our "cup of tea" and we have not read his works, but he is generally well-known among conspiracy theorists.

Other Secret Societies — The books listed above provide a detailed, in depth look at the workings of one of the most important Secret Societies in recent centuries. However, the Freemasons are only one of many occult associations that have exercised covert influence over political and economic events for centuries. Most such societies admit 'outsiders' into their ranks for the purpose of controlling and spying on them, and are organized in a hierarchical manner (similar to Freemasonry) with "inner" and "outer" circle members. Almost all present themselves as political, religious, commercial or charitable organizations and virtually all involve oaths, strange rituals, symbols, and secret knowledge.

There are, however, a number of problems with attempting to study Secret Societies directly. Most involve many layers of deception, and almost all books about Freemasons, Secret Societies and the Occult that are published by mainstream publishers, contain much misinformation. There have even been some very elaborate disinformation campaigns, such as the "Taxil Hoax" of the 1890's intended to discredit and confuse critics.

Several of the texts below were likely produced by disinformation agents. This is obviously the case when the author presents Secret Societies as obsolete, harmless, ridiculous, ineffective, or of little concern to "modern" life. If one is aware of the problem of misinformation and bias, however, even very "untrustworthy" authors can provide helpful information about secret societies of past ages, and necessary insights into their enormous scope. Heckenthorn, for example, was certainly a disinformation agent, yet his books provide a great deal of information, and his division of secret societies into different "types" and "eras" (ancient, Mohammedan, Christain, criminal mystical, political, etc.) is helpful.

NOTE: Disinformation, distraction, mockery, gas-lighting, judas-goats, and controlled opposition are very well-honed techniques of secret societies to disguise their operations, and if you are unable to recognize them, you will likely be misled. These techniques of deception are explained more fully in our "Advanced Research" pages.

'Conspiracy Classics

This is a section of especially interesting books with a conspiratorial viewpoint that cover a variety of different topics. It is organized by author rather than subject and includes exposés of suspicious organizations (i.e., FED, CFR, AMA, etc.), biographies of select cabal leaders, details about specific wars and revolutions, and other conspiratorial classics. We have included authors who focus on World War II and "communist" infiltration of the American government in the following section, since "Revisionisit" accounts of the World Wars are especially relevant to recent American history.

NOTE: Many prominent authors in the field of Secret Society research are regularly portrayed as "anti-Semitic", "Nazis", "racist", "paranoid", "extremist" and "conspiracy theorists". They are maligned, misrepresented, and quoted out of context. The object of their detractors is to discredit the authors so that their works remain unread. Nevertheless, most are courageous patriots and are highly regarded by those who have actually read their works.

Garry Allen (1936-1986) — Allen was a conspiracy researcher whose most famous book, None Dare Call it Conspiracy sold millions of copies and helped launch the "Reagan Revolution" of the 1980's. For several years he was associated with the John Birch Society, and they aided in the distribution of his books. Shortly before his unexpected death, Allen broke his ties with the John Birch Society and they no longer promote or publish his works.

Eustace Mullins (1923-2010) — Mullins began researching the Federal Reserve while working in the Library of Congress, and when he published his first exposé of the system he was dismissed from his job and blackballed by publishers. His subsequent works exposed the names and financial dealings of hundreds of malicious agents, particularly those associated with the Rothschild and Rockefeller financial networks. Mullins "follows the money" and exposes foundations, financial connections, and family networks that prove close coordination and cabal control of an enormous share of the American economy. His books are tremendously informative, and often shocking, but difficult to refute because of the depth of his research.

The 1920s were a critical period in world history. The catastrophe of the first World War, shocked the world, labor strikes paralyzed western governments, and violent revolutions in both Russia and Mexico had put 'bolsheviks' in power. Thousands of people began waking up to the fact that a world-wide network of "communists" was actively working to overthrow western democracies. The following authors provide tremendous insights into America's early struggle with the "communist" menace.

Richard M. Whitney (1874-1924) — Whitney wrote the book "Reds in America" shortly after a Federal raid on Communist Party Conference in Bridgman, Michigan. Several high ranking communist leaders were arrested and hundreds of documents revealing plans to subvert and overthrow the U.S. government were found. This book is based on those documents, which outline an ingenious plan for infiltrating labor unions, colleges, newspapers, churches, the army, and many other civic groups. Plans to radicalize women, negroes, farmers and laborers are laid out along with a strategy of infiltrating congress by using sleeper agents from both parties. At the time Whitney wrote this book, trials for the communist agents were still on-going, and the author hoped that public exposure of the Bridgman documents would awaken Americans to the threat. Unfortunately, Whitney died (at age 48) a year after the book was published, almost all the conspirators were freed, and the incriminating documents of the Bridgman raid were forgotten. The incident is almost never mentioned in conventional histories, and the extremely prophetic nature of the documents uncovered is rarely discussed.

Blair Coan (1887-1949) — Coan was a journalist and investigator during the early 1920's and in his book "The Red Web" gives a firsthand account of the events surrounding the Railroad strike of 1922, the death of President Harding, and the forced resignation of Attorney General Daugherty. The book casts a great deal of light on the contrived 'scandals' of the Harding administration, the hypocrisy of the Senate investigation committees, and on the political assassination of anti-communists. The American "Reds" identified by Coan saw the Justice department as a threat to their ability to subvert the government and they instigated a smear campaign, targeting not only Daugherty, but the entire Department of Justice. Coan provides reams of evidence that the Harding Cabinet 'scandals', were maliciously contrived. Along with Flynn's The Smear Terror, the Red Web is a good source for understanding the "communist" technique of systematically discrediting their opponents.

Vladimir V. Tchernavin (1887-1949) — Tchernavin was a Russian scientist who escaped from the Soviet Gulags in the early 1930's. I Speak for the Silent is a riveting, well written page-turner that gives both a personal account of his ordeal and many factual insights about how the Soviet work camps, secret police, and prison system were organized. Tchernavin's account was one of the earliest first-person accounts of Soviet slave labor camps published in English, and it was the book that convinced Whitaker Chambers to leave the communist party. The book was published and distributed in the early thirties, so there is no question that the outrages and abominations of Soviet slave camps were well known and documented before Churchill and Roosevelt made their alliance with Stalin.

Emanuel M. Josephson (1895-1975) — Josephson was an eminent eye-doctor in New York who become one of the most vocal and effective critics of Roosevelt and his administration. He was extremely knowledgeable about many aspects of the cabal, and based on his resume (John Hopkins, Columbia, Red Cross, etc.) one might assume he had some access to "insider" knowledge of their workings. It is curious that he was prominent enough to have his letters posted in the New York Times, publish a dozen books, and to have direct access to several persons in Roosevelt's administration, and yet his biography is not listed anywhere on the internet.

Josephson's books contain certain information that cannot be found in most other sources. This indicates a great deal of original research, or access to some sources of information that are not widely known. He also provides fascinating analysis from an highly informed and intelligent viewpoint. Josephson's surveys of the Roosevelt and Rockefeller networks are full of fascinating details about both obscure and well known characters, and his scathing critique of the American Medical system is insightful and well-researched. Overall, Josephson is a highly interesting and unusual contributor to the annals of 'hidden' history.

Rosalie Gordon (1911-1996) was a researcher who worked for John T. Flynn for over 25 years. After his death she published a critical study of the Supreme Court from the Roosevelt to Eisenhower eras. Gordon points problems with a number of decisions by the liberal 'Warren Court' (1953-1969), but makes special note of the series of decisions during the mid 1950's that made it impossible for federal, state, or local governments to defend themselves against Communist infiltration, sabotage, or propaganda. The meaning of "Free Speech" was expanded to protect the "rights" of both communists and criminals, even when they were accused of open acts of subversion and violence against the American government.

Dan Smoot (1913-2003) — Smoot served in the FBI until 1951 and for the next ten years, worked as a private researcher and pamphleteer. His 'Dan Smoot Report' was an independent newsletter and his popular news program was eventually driven off the air by the FCC. 'The Invisible Government' is one of the best known exposé's of the methods, members, and affiliated organization of Council of Foreign Relations (a.k.a. the "Illuminati in America").

M. William Cooper (1943-2001) — Served in the Naval Intelligence, and his book, Behold a Pale Horse describes not only malicious political intrigue but also reveals the existence of certain 'black ops' and advanced U.F.O. related technology that he claims the government has developed but is keeping secret. Cooper correctly predicted a number of developments, most notably an impending terror attack which he claimed would be attributed to Osama bin Laden. Cooper was outspoken regarding the cover-up of government involvement in the '9-11' destruction of the World Trade Center. He was charged with "tax evasion" and two months after the attack the 9-11 attack he had predicted, he was killed in an altercation with sheriffs at his home in Arizona.

Fritz Springmeier (1955-????) — is an author of several well-known conspiracy related books. His topics include an investigation of the bloodlines of the 13 families who are allegedly at the top of the illuminati hierarchy, and also an very (disturbing expose of mind-control techniques used in monarch programming. His books include many fascinating insights, but he claims to have gotten much of his information from personal interviews of mind-control victims, so some of his claims, by their nature are credible, but unverifiable. His life and works have been severely attacked by numerous sources online, and according to one source he was imprisoned from (2003-2011). We have been unable to confirm his current whereabouts or the veracity of recent works attributed to him.

Dr. John Coleman (?????) — This suspicious British national claimed to be a CIA agent and an expert on secret societies, with inside information about the "Committee of 300", the "Club of Rome", and the "Tavistock Institute". He seems to have infilterated the conspiracy movement in the 1980s intending to spy and cause divisions. Much of the information in his books is lifted from other investigators' works. Nevertheless, his writing includes information about certain institutions that are not well developed in other sources, and correctly focuses attention on the Cabal's methods of disinformation and brainwashing. Because of the enormous and real emphasis the cabal puts on propaganda, mass programming, and psychological warfare, we believe his writings may be worthwhile, although they should be read with appropriate skepticism.

Coleman's books also contain many disclosures that pertain to the world political scene in the 60's, 70's, and 80's and are excellent examples of the work of a certain type of disinformation agent who gains credibility by taking credit for disclosing information that is already publically available in order to build trust in the conspiracy community.

Iron Mountain Study Group (1963-????) — In 1967 an anonymous Washington technocrat published the "Report from Iron Mountain . . . on the possibilities of Peace", the result of a secret government Study Group. It is an extremely technocratic analysis of the problems that world peace would pose to the existing war-based political order. It very openly discusses the "economic, sociological, and political functions of war—that is, the aspects of war that governments use to control the population. It then openly speculates on what newly created fake technology, fake conflicts, fake scare tactics, and anonymous government "handlers" would be needed to keep the population fearful and compliant in the absence of war. The Machiavelian tone in which the book is written is difficult for many people to accept, but it reflects the actual, cold-blooded thinking process of high level cabal planners.

"Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars" is another book anonymously published along similar lines, that discusses systematic techniques of mass mind control.

World War II 'Revisionists'

"The Rockefeller Foundation and the Council on Foreign Relations intend to prevent, if they can, a repetition of what they call in the vernacular 'the debunking journalistic campaign following World War I.' Translated into precise English, this means that the Foundation and the Council do not want journalists or any other persons to examine too closely and criticize too freely the official propaganda and official statements relative to 'our basic aims and activities' during World War II."
— Charles A. Beard

Even people who don't know much history are familiar with America's heroic victory over the Nazi's and Japanese during World War II. Unfortunately, the way the conflict has been portrayed in conventional histories is a carefully constructed myth. The vile deeds of the "Nazis" are relentlessly criticized, while the horrifying atrocities of the Soviets are minimized; but that is only one of many distortions. The truth is much worse—the World Wars of the 20th century were planned long in advance, intentionally provoked, and the treachery of the world leaders who orchestrated them is incomprehensible to most people.

The most significant outcome of WWII, in geopolitical terms, was to greatly expand the realm of "Soviet" influence. According to conventional histories, the passing of Eastern Europe and China into Communist hands was an unfortunate, but unintended outcome. On closer inspection, however, the policies that led to the debacle were undoubtedly planned well in advance. For example:

The authors listed below were independent journalists, historians, and statesmen who proposed 'revisionist' accounts of WWII, including some of the facts listed above. As a result they were smeared and their findings were repressed. Some of their works infer that many highly-placed officials in the British and American governments appeared to serve the interests of "international communism" rather than their own nation. In other words:— treason at the highest levels of government.

Roosevelt and Rockefeller (1895-1976) — Before reading the accounts of 'revisionist' historians, it may be helpful to take a close look at the criminal network of 'communists' and traitors associated with the Roosevelt and Rockefeller families. Below are a few critical biographies of these powerful and perfidious clans. Although their leaders are presented as civic-minded patriots in most conventional histories, in truth they were despicable mobsters, and their henchmen were largely responsible for our disastrous and fraudulent world wars.

John T. Flynn (1882-1964) — Flynn was an American journalist who began his career as a left-leaning, non-interventionist political reporter. At first he supported Roosevelt, but over time became increasingly critical and began to report on a pattern of mendacious and dictatorial behavior. Flynn stopped short of accusing Roosevelt himself of treason, but provided detailed accounts of the corruption, profligacy, betrayal and communist sympathies of those in FDR's administration. He also reported on the orchestrated propaganda, smear campaigns, perfidy, and outright lies of the complicit press corps. Flynn's meticulously researched accounts leave no question that Roosevelt, Truman and their advisors intentionally led the United States into war against the wishes of most Americans, knowingly sacrificed Eastern Europe to Stalin, and much of Asia to Communist forces. Flynn's books are an extremely important resource for understanding the truth about American involvement in WWII and the Cold War Era.

"What is the average American to think when the New York Times and Herald-Tribune; the Methodist Bishop Oxnam and the Chicago Catholic Bishop Shiel; Gus Hall, National Secretary of the Communist Party; Adlai Stevenson and General Eisenhower are all united in one great cause—the war on Senator McCarthy because he is fighting Communists in Government? This curious collection of allies compels us to re-examine some of our cherished assumptions about America. If we will do that with candor, we will begin to understand why the Communist revolution in America is so terrifying a threat to our civilization." — John T. Flynn

Joseph McCarthy (1908-1957) — Nothing illustrates the terrifying ability of Secret Societies to smear and destroy their detractors, control public opinion, and falsify history better than the story of Joseph McCarthy. In conventional histories, he is vilified as a demagogue and bully who made 'reckless' and 'false' accusations against hundreds of 'suspected' communists. The truth is McCarthy was a courageous patriot, and his real crime was to make extremely well-substantiated charges of conspiracy and treason against a few very powerful people, including George Marshall (Secretary of Defense), and Dean Acheson (Secretary of State). In America's Retreat from Victory, McCarthy demonstrates that the loss of Eastern Europe and China to the 'Communists' following America's victory in WWII was intentionally orchestrated at the highest levels of government. He demonstrates how the leaders of the Defense and State departments knowingly worked to further the aims of International Communism, and betrayed the interest of freedom-loving people in America and throughout the world.

The life, career, and reputation of Joseph McCarthy were systematically destroyed so that Americans would not read this book or recognize the seriousness of the charges he makes against the most powerful and 'respected' leaders of their government. Read it, understand the implications, and make your own decision.

Harry Elmer Barnes (1889-1968) — For most of his long career as a historian, Barnes wrote conventional histories that were widely published and well-reviewed. During WWI he supported the U.S. entry into the war against Germany, but after the war changed his mind, and came to believe U.S. involvement in the World War had been a disaster. He and many other historians of his age were anti-interventionists, and wrote histories arguing that the allies were as much responsible for WWI as Germany. Once America entered WWII however, many historians—especially those in government or University sponsored positions, adopted the government's pro-war positions. Barnes continued arguing against U.S. involvement in foreign wars, and as a result, he claims that he and other non-interventionist historians were blacklisted. In later years he was labeled a pro-German, anti-Semite 'holocaust denier'.

Revisionism and the Historical Blackout is Barnes best known work from the post war period. In it he describes the methods by which Historians who departed from the 'official story' justifying U.S. entry into WWII, were blacklisted, smeared, and demoted, and how every effort was made to prevent public discussion of historical controversies related to WWII.

Anthony Sutton's well-known book Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler does a thorough job of documenting the ties between American industrialists and Hitler's military machine. Even so, there are subtle problems with the book and we are not convinced that Sutton was not an extremely effective disinformation agent. Nevertheless, a great deal of his book is accurate and well-documented. (See our Advanced Research pages for more about the problem of "Insiders who Intend to Deceive".)

Nicholas Tolstoy (1935-) — Tolstoy, a distant relative of the author Leon Tolstoy, has written several books highly critical of the Western government's collaboration with the Soviets and the forced repatriation of Soviet citizens following WWII. We rarely recommend books that are not in the public domain, or books by living authors, but this is an exceptionally well researched account and presents material that is unavailable elsewhere.

Canaanites, Israelites and Phoenicians

"I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not,
but are the synagogue of Satan." — Revelation 2:9

Much 'Secret Society' research demonstrates links to a world wide criminal network under supposedly "Jewish" control, but this is an intentional diversion. The true culprits are Canaanites (a.k.a Phoenicians), some of whom present themselves as Jews. The more one studies Phoenician symbolism, culture, and methods, the more obvious its connection to secret societies becomes, and it is for this reason that much information about the Punic civilization has been suppressed. Conventional histories tell us that this worldwide network of powerful, secretive, and extremely wealthy merchants simply faded into oblivion after the fall of Carthage, but nothing could be further from the truth. The Phoenician conspirators never left us; they just assumed false identities and made themselves invisible.

The Phoenicians were sophisticated traders who had colonies throughout the Mediterranean. In Biblical times, their chief cities of Tyre and Sidon were trading partners of the Hebrews and brought immense wealth to Israel. Their king, Hiram of Tyre, was an associate of Solomon and provided architects and materials for his Temple. But unlike the Jews, the Phoenicians worshipped frightful and blood-thirsty gods, and their influence on the Jewish nation was baneful. The Old Testament prophets railed against the seductions of the Canaanites, but many Israelites fell under their sway.

But the Jews were not the only nation to fall under Phoenician influence. The Phoenicians operated a lucrative trading network that extended from the Indian Ocean to the Baltic Sea, and there is evidence of their influence on ancient civilizations worldwide. They seem to have possessed "secret knowledge" that they used to great effect, and over time set up well-disguised networks of spies, allies, and secret agents everywhere they traded. In order to operate without inciting resistance, Phoenicians often disguised their real intentions and exerted control on foreign nations by espionage, bribery, and subversion rather than overt force.

Reading Ancient History with an intense focus on the activities of the Phoenicians provides essential insights to the nature and origin of secret Societies. Many occult rites and symbols are related to the Canaanite religion and culture, and their techiques of infiltration, deception, and seduction are age old. Once you recognize their signs and strategems, they are visible in all ages, so familiarity with Biblical, Jewish, and Phoenician history is critical for understanding Secret Societies.

Unfortunately the study of the remote past is a challenging topic and there exists a great deal of intentional misinformation. At Heritage History we offer several ways for those who are unfamiliar with Phoenician civilization to learn more about this fascinating, but disturbing race. First, for introductory readers, we have reorganized our Ancient Rome study program to better represent Punic influences on Roman history, and we have added a unit on the Phoenicians that provides an overview of their history and culture. Our study program is intended for students and introduces the demonic aspects of Punic civilization without dwelling on horrifying details.

Secondly, for those who want to learn more, the following books in the Heritage History library provide a conventional, but highly informative view of Phoenician civilization. The authors do not infer any direct links between ancient Phoenicians and secret societies, but provides essential details that must be known in order to recognize the connections.

It is not suprising that Rawlinson, although recognized as a world authority on Phoenicia, is less than forthcoming. His family was closely associated with the exceedingly suspicious East India Company and other dubious fraternities. Researchers who are intereted in a critical view of Phoenician culture that emphasizes its diabolical nature and its relationship to Secret Societies, will have to turn to our more in depth Phoenicians Advanced Study page.

Wars and Revolutions

In the previous sections, most of the reading material has been organized by book title and author. Many of these authors made specific references to historical episodes, and provided a detailed 'conspiratorial' view of events. In this section, however, we have organzied information provided by many different authors in a systematic way. Most important wars and conflicts of the last few centuries are listed below, and links are provided to our Wars and Revolutions page which is organized by conflict rather than by author. An overview of each war is provided, along with links to chapters that focus specificly on particular conflicts.

Great fortunes are made during times of upheaval. Conflicts result in enormous changes in the possession of property and the expansion of debt. Nations borrow money to fund wars and to rebuild after wars. Long held personal property is often destroyed, confiscated, or sold at a great loss. There is a direct link between those who benefit financially from conflicts and those who work behind the scenes to foment wars and revolutions.

"The time to buy is when there is blood in the street."
Baron Rothschild

Wars and Revolutions that have been fomented, funded, and controlled by secret societies include almost all major conflicts in the last two hundred and fifty years. Most modern wars—including all those listed below—have begun as a result of a "false flag" or provocation that can be traced to secret powers who benefit from conflict and upheaval. Additional information about specific conflicts is available on our Wars and Revolutions page, or at the links below.

Advanced Research Topics

"The deeper we go, the more unrealistic it all becomes.
The end won't be for everyone."

The books listed above provide a solid introduction to secret societies and a "conspiratorial" view of history. Almost all are accessible to anyone with a basic knowledge of world history and an openness to an alternative interpretation of history. But the disturbing truths uncovered by these books are only the beginning. Every revelation leads to more questions, more strange associations to research, more suspicious characters to investigate. The trail extends far, far beyond the Rothschilds or the "Illuminati", and reveals itself to have ancient and deeply disturbing origins.

The further back in history one searches for the influence of secret societies, the more unsettling the situation appears. "Hidden History" extends further into the past than most people can imagine, and touches on our most basic assumptions about the genesis of human life. Nevertheless, for people who are willing to put the search for truth above familiarity, there are many clues that are worth pursuing. Such research however, is "not for everyone".

We've included books on our Advanced Research Topics pages that are significantly more challenging than those on the regular "Secret Societies" page. Some were written for those with a specialized knowledge of history rather than for the general reader. Others contain a great deal of fascinating information but were written by propagandists attempting to promote a twisted agenda and need to be read with discretion. Still others promote theories that are dismissed by modern academics as "pseudoscience", even though there is substantial evidence in their favor. And all require a solid grounding in history and an understanding of Canaanite methods to fully comprehend.

In addition to being unsettling, controversial, and generally difficult, our advanced topic pages are speculative and incomplete. There are many dead ends, inadequate explanations, and probably a few false leads. If you are quite sure you are up to the challenge, proceed to the Secret Societies Advanced Research Topics introduction page.
