Margaret Roper was the daughter of Sir Thomas More, and the husband of William Roper, his biographer. After the death of Thomas's wife, Margaret was his closest relation, and during his imprisonment, she visited him often. Her husband, William Roper, wrote a famous biography of Sir Thomas More.
